A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a local man in Narowal’s Shakargarh, with police registering a case after doctors found she was seven months pregnant.
According to the girl’s father, the suspect entered their house around seven months ago when his daughter was alone and allegedly raped her. He told police that the suspect later threatened to kill the girl if she reported the incident.
The girl’s health suddenly deteriorated, prompting her family to take her to a hospital. Doctors told the family that she was seven months pregnant. The girl then told her mother about the alleged rape.
Shakargarh City Police Station registered an FIR [First Information Report] against the suspect who fled the village after the family reported the incident.
A few days ago, in a separate incident in Khanewal, police arrested a man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in Basti Khokhranwali, Kabirwala.
The girl’s uncle told police in his complaint that his niece was waiting outside her school on Saturday to return home when the accused offered to take her home. The man allegedly took her to his house instead, where he raped her.
According to the FIR, the suspect threatened to kill the girl during the alleged assault. Kabirwala City police arrested the suspect after receiving the complaint.
