A chemical-filled bottle exploded inside a private school classroom near Adda Permit in Lodhran, injuring 15 students and their teacher, rescue officials said.
The incident took place while the teacher was conducting a lesson, when the bottle suddenly exploded inside the classroom.
The blast injured the students and teacher, though the nature and severity of their injuries were not immediately disclosed.
Rescue teams were dispatched to the school after receiving information about the incident.
Officials provided first aid to the injured before transporting all 16 victims, including the teacher, to a hospital for further treatment.
Police also reached the school shortly after being informed of the incident.
The response was led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), who arrived at the scene along with other personnel.
