An eight-year-old boy of Pakistani origin has gained widespread attention on social media after identifying a typographical error on the official website of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), prompting a direct acknowledgment and correction from the space agency.
The child noticed the spelling mistake on a webpage detailing planetary exploration, where the phrase “Explore Jupiter” was incorrectly published as “Expor Jupiter,” omitting the letter “l.” When he insisted on reporting the error, the boy’s father Mussarat Ali shared the observation on the social media platform X, labeling it an “important mission update.”
NASA responded to the post, accepting the feedback by stating, “Thanks for the catch! We are fixing that missing letter now.”
According to his father, the child maintains a strong interest in space, rockets, and astronomy, and aspires to become an astronaut. The father noted that his son was highly enthusiastic about the agency’s response and planned to share the experience with his classmates.
The digital exchange subsequently went viral, drawing significant engagement from online users who highlighted the child’s attention to detail and shared well-wishes for his future endeavors.
