Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister of India Amit Shah, holding him directly accountable for police action against student protesters during the recent march towards Parliament.
Echoing opposition leaders, the political activist asserted that the severe crackdown could not have occurred without explicit clearance from the highest levels of national security leadership.
Dipke argued that the deployment of heavy security forces against demonstrators resulted in unnecessary injuries and violence that required top-level ministerial accountability.
Addressing reporters, he stated, “The way the students were attacked by the police and their blood was spilled into the roads, could not have happened without Shah’s orders.”
“I also believe that he [Shah] should resign.”
He further noted that claims regarding foreign funding directed toward his party would point directly to a major security lapse on the part of the home ministry itself.
Talking to the media earlier in the week CJP founder’s mother Anita Dipke revealed receiving death threats from unknown sources forcing to join ruling the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or face consequences which led to the family fleeing their home.
The development follows a gruelling 36-day sit-in protest led by the CJP and Sonam Wangchuk at Jantar Mantar against systemic examination irregularities in the NEET examination 2026.
The sustained youth agitation ultimately pressured the central government into accepting core demands, culminating in the resignation of Indian Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan. Building on that unprecedented political victory, Dipke maintained that accountability must extend to the home ministry for the handling of student demonstrators.
