Pakistani TikToker Ali Hyderabadi has found himself at the center of an intense online debate after a video showing him divorcing his wife Zainab Ali during a heated argument, went viral across social media platforms.

The clip spread quickly across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, leaving many users questioning whether the divorce was real or created for online content.

Ali Hyderabadi appears to be arguing with his wife, who repeatedly asks him to stop recording. During the heated exchange, he is allegedly heard pronouncing divorce in front of her brothers and other family members.

The incident sparked widespread criticism, with many users expressing concern over such a personal matter being played out publicly. Reactions poured in across social media.

“When will this destruction end,” wrote one user.

“What is happening to these men nowadays,” another commented.

“Who are these people,” one user wrote.

“If this video is for likes and views, then this is a very disgusting act,” another remarked.

“A wedding vlog and now a divorce vlog. Shame on these shameless people who have turned everything into a joke,” one user wrote.

“What the hell is going on in our society? Will these people now become idols and heroes for our children,” another asked.

As speculation grew, Ali Hyderabadi shared a statement on his Instagram Story, asking people not to jump to conclusions. “Assalam-o-Alaikum, I am Ali Hyderabadi. Since yesterday, you have been watching my viral divorce video on social media. Right now, I can’t answer anyone, so please don’t leave negative comments. The truth will be revealed to everyone,” he wrote.

He later shared a video on his Instagram account addressing the matter in detail. “Assalamu Alaikum. As many of you know, I’m Ali. This will be my first and last video on this matter,” he began.

He said he had initially wanted to stay silent because it was a family matter, but changed his mind after videos surfaced accusing him of physically abusing his wife Zainab. “I saw videos being made against me, with claims from Zainab that I broke her finger, broke her hand, and abused her,” he said.

He denied the allegations and explained why he had recorded the argument. “If you watch the divorce video that went viral, you’ll see that I never hit her. I recorded that video because I feared that one day she might concoct allegations against me or try to blackmail me.”

“I’m holding the Holy Quran in my hands, and I swear I’m telling the truth: I never hit her,” he added.

He also pointed to a moment later in the viral clip.

“Towards the end you can see them trying to grab my mobile phone because I was recording the incident and leaving with the video. You can also see my belongings on the floor, my clothes and other items. At the beginning of the video, it was already clear that they had decided to throw me out of the house,” he said.

Ali went on to describe efforts to find separate housing during the marriage.

“I was living in their house, but I had rented a separate home myself. I rented a five-marla house, but she didn’t stay there. Then I rented a flat, and she still didn’t stay there. I wanted to take her with me to Hyderabad, but she refused. For three years, I kept adjusting and doing things according to her wishes. During that time, we had many arguments and disagreements,” he recalled.

He also denied threatening his wife. “Now I’m being accused of threatening her. Once again, I swear on the Holy Quran that I never threatened her and never broke her finger.”

Ali said going public was not his original intention. “I didn’t want to make our family matter public, but after these videos were uploaded against me, I had no choice but to respond. I never imagined things would reach this point,” he emphasised.

He added that he would cooperate with any formal inquiry into the matter. “I respect all institutions. If any authority calls me, I will fully cooperate.”

In his statement, Ali asked his followers to withhold judgment until the full picture emerges, saying that he was not in a position to answer further questions at the moment but promised that the complete truth would come out in due course.

It is worth noting that Ali Hyderabadi has more than 20 million followers on TikTok.
