Ali Jafri, who allegedly faced violence in Karachi’s Defence Phase 8, has claimed that he was lured to a gaming zone before being taken away at gunpoint.
Speaking to the media, Jafri said that Ali Faisal, who allegedly plays the game “Deadshot,” had been absconding for around a week before taking him to the gaming zone on a pretext. He said that Ibrahim Shati later joined them at the location.
Jafri alleged that the men took him away in a vehicle at gunpoint and left him in an open field in Phase 8.
He said that the men ordered him to apologise and he followed their instructions. He also alleged that they asked him to arrange money from his home because they wanted to purchase drugs.
Jafri said that he works night shifts and attends classes in the morning. He alleged that the men blackmailed him using videos of his family and said he had never been involved in any financial dealings with anyone.
He also claimed that the men did not contact anyone from his family.
“If I do not speak up today, something could happen to someone else tomorrow,” he said.
Jafri’s teacher Abdullah Jamal spoke to the media outside Sahil Police Station.
Jamal said that the children had subjected Jafri to violence and that their parents wanted to resolve the matter. He alleged that police kept them waiting for two hours in the hope that the two families could reach an agreement.
However, Jamal said, “We want justice for Ali.”
