‘Allah nahi bhulta’: Momina Iqbal reflects on silent suffering of women in toxic marriages

Actress Momina Iqbal is opening up about the silent struggles many women face behind closed doors.

 

She shared a heartfelt Instagram story, reacting to a viral post about women who stay in toxic relationships. “At least they left you only heartbroken. Some of us were left with kids that look like them [sic],” it read.

 

Momina responded with an emotional reflection of her own. “I couldn’t relate at first... but after reading this, I was left utterly silent as if my voice had been stolen and my heart forgot how to beat,” she wrote.

 

“Living with men like that, whether with children or without, is a slow kind of suffering.”

 

She ended her message on a note of hope and faith: “But one day... every wound, every silence, every injustice will be accounted for (IA). Allah nahi bhulta.”

 

Her emotional words have struck a chord with many, shedding light on the quiet battles women often fight behind closed doors, while holding on to the hope that justice, if not in this world, will surely be served in the hereafter.
