Actress Amar Khan has revealed that she is playing the role of Wahaj Ali’s wife in the highly anticipated drama “Mitti De Baway”, calling it one of the most extensive projects currently on television.
Speaking during a recent TV programme, Khan said, “We have the biggest stars, Wahaj Ali and Mahira Khan. It’s so interesting and entertaining that I don’t think I’ve read such a script in the last four or five years. When you’re working with people who believe in honest and fearless storytelling at such a magnitude, I think it’s such a pleasure.”
On her character, she added, “I can give a little leak about my character, I am playing Wahaj’s wife in the drama.”
Mitti De Baway is one of the most anticipated Pakistani dramas of 2026. The period drama stars Mahira Khan, Wahaj Ali, Amar Khan, Junaid Khan and Hina Afridi and is written by Faiza Iftikhar and directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain.
The drama will air on Green Entertainment and marks the first on-screen collaboration between Mahira Khan and Wahaj Ali in a full-length drama.
The series is expected to premiere in June 2026, though an official confirmation from Green Entertainment is still awaited.
