Another Bollywood star's son all set to make acting debut
A star progeny is about to make his Bollywood debut while the industry still deals with charges of nepotism.
Renowned director and producer Karan Johar has officially confirmed that Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan is about to debut on our screens.
In an Instagram post, Karan shared his thoughts about Ibrahim's parents, Saif Ali Khan and his ex-wife Amrita Singh, and reflected on their early encounters, emphasizing that "acting runs in their blood.’
While posting a picture of Ibrahim, Karan recalled his first meeting with Amrita Singh when he was just 12 years old.
“I met Amrita or Dingy, how the loved ones like to call her…when I was just 12 years old. She did a film for @dharmamovies with my father called Duniya, and I remember so vividly the grace, the energy & the commandment over the camera she had,” Karan Johar wrote.
The Kal Ho Na Ho director fondly remembered a memorable Chinese dinner with Amrita and her hairstylist after their first meeting, followed by a James Bond move.
Karan Johar said, “She treated me like her own the second we met and that was the power of her grace…which lives on through her and her children too.”
The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director shared his first meeting with Saif Ali Khan, recalling how Saif was charming and effortless, just like Ibrahim is today. ‘
“With Saif, it was in Anand Mahendru’s office where I first met him. Young, suave, charming & effortless…VERY much like the first time I met Ibrahim,” Karan Johar shared.
Expressing his long-term bond with the family, Karan mentioned his 40-year-long association with them, having worked with Amrita on films like Duniya and 2 States, and with Saif on Kal Ho Naa Ho and Kurbaan.
He expressed his deep connection with the family, saying, “I know this family for the heart they have. Films are in their blood, their genes and their passion.”
Ibrahim Ali Khan is set to make his acting debut in the film Sarzamin, which is being produced by Dharma Production. The film will also star Kajol and South Indian actor Prithviraj Sukumaran.
