Actor Anumta Qureshi has reacted to controversial YouTuber Rajab Butt’s appeal to fans to watch his upcoming film, promising a dramatic reception outside the cinema for anyone who goes to the screenings.

Rajab recently shared a video message asking his followers to turn out for the film. He told them to start saving early.

“I need each and every one of you to watch my film. Just start saving a thousand or two thousand rupees until the release, whatever a ticket and popcorn cost,” he said.

He stated that he wants to see his fans in the cinema and promised they would not regret it.

“You can come with your family. It’s a complete family entertainer,” he said.

Rajab also pointed to his YouTube success and asked for the same support at the box office.

“The way you broke records on YouTube, I need that same response in the cinemas,” he asked.

Anumta then shared the clip on her Instagram stories. She added a message that said she would be waiting outside the cinema.

“Isko jo bhi dekhne jayega uspe mein pathro or lanato ki barsat karungi cinema k bahar khare hokar [I will rain stones and curses on anyone who goes to watch this, standing outside the cinema],” she wrote.

According to reports, Rajab plays the lead role in the action-comedy directed by Syed Faisal Bukhari, with a screenplay by Sarmad Ibrahim. Filming has begun, while Amar Khan stars opposite him as the female lead.

Rajab has built a large following online, with around nine million subscribers on YouTube and nearly three million followers on Instagram.

Anumta on the other hand has played roles in the drama serials Mera Rab Waris, Bisaat-e-Dil and Bharosa Pyar Tera. Her most popular role was Huma in Suno Chanda and Suno Chanda 2.
