Apple TV appears to be edging closer to an official launch in Pakistan as some users can now subscribe to the streaming service through Pakistani Apple accounts for around Rs200 per month.

Local media reports said that users have successfully activated the subscription and received confirmation from Apple showing the plan, monthly fee and renewal details.

The subscription also appears under the active services section in Apple account settings at the same price. The plan allows users to share access with up to five other people through Family Sharing.

However, the service is not fully operational in Pakistan yet. Users still need a VPN to access Apple TV and while they can browse the available movies and shows, videos are not currently playing despite an active subscription. New subscribers also reportedly receive the first month free.

The development indicates that Apple may have activated the payment and subscription system ahead of enabling full streaming service in the country.

Access also remains inconsistent. Some users said that Pakistan does not appear in the country selection menu, preventing them from subscribing altogether. This suggests Apple has not completed the rollout across the country.

At Rs200 per month, the reported subscription price would place Apple TV below several competing streaming services in Pakistan. The service is also available through local grey-market resellers at higher prices, making an official subscription potentially more accessible to local users.

The reported move comes as Apple expands its services and retail presence in Pakistan. The company has reportedly partnered with Air Link Communication for flagship retail experiences in the country.

Apple has also been linked with plans to bring services including Apple Pay and Apple Music to Pakistan, alongside the wider iOS 27 rollout.

Apple has not confirmed an official launch of Apple TV in Pakistan or announced a date for full streaming access. Until the service begins playing content without workarounds, its availability remains limited.
