Pakistani singer Asim Azhar has named Indian singer Arijit Singh as his dream collaboration while acknowledging that the current political climate between the two countries makes any such project impossible for now.

Speaking on a TV programme, Azhar was asked which Indian singer he would like to work with.

“Hypothetically, because right now the political situation is such that neither they can work here nor we can work there, but people still have love and admiration. And yes, if I had the chance to collaborate with any Indian singer, one name that immediately comes to mind is Arijit Singh,” he said.

Azhar is currently on his Asim Ali The Album Tour 2026, named after his debut album Asim Ali released in 2025.

The tour kicked off on April 11 in Houston, Texas, and runs through 18 shows across 16 cities, concluding on May 17 in Detroit, Michigan. The tour also includes stops in the United Kingdom.

Azhar first broke through to the mainstream on Coke Studio in 2015, becoming the youngest musician to appear on the show.

He has since become one of Pakistan’s most recognisable pop voices, with hits including “Tera Woh Pyar,” “Ghalat Fehmi,” and “Jo Tu Na Mila” to his name.
