Star singer Atif Aslam has opened up on working with Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira Khan and Sajal Aly in his latest interview with BBC.
On being asked by the host Haroon Shahid on why he refused to sing Gerua in Shah Rukh Khan’s hit film Dilwale, the Bol star candidly confessed that he got to meet the Raees hero once and found him to be a great man.
When Zero actor’s team got in touch with him and he even recorded the song and sent it to them but the team probably never sent it to Shah Rukh and he was surprised to hear the DDLJ hero stating that Atif was too busy to sing a song for him. He added that he can never be busy for the Don star and would love to sing for him in the future.
Atif revealed that he recently met Mahira whom he debuted opposite as an actor in Bol and the Humsafar diva suggested that they shall reunite soon.
He also revealed that their fans might see them in a music video together by the end of this year.
While speaking of his Rafta Rafta co-star Sajal Aly, the Woh Lamhe singer stated that the Yeh Dil Mera star is without a doubt amongst the finest actresses of the country, it was ‘brilliant’ to work with her, he also thanked her to star in the song.
He found her extremely professional and a ‘nice person to work with’. He concluded by saying that the Aangan actress has a very bright future ahead.
On the work front, He will be debuting on television opposite Hania Aamir and Kubra Khan in Sang-e-Mah, which he hinted about in the interview by confirming that he will soon be seen on television.
