Veteran actress Atiqa Odho has revealed that she’s been receiving marriage proposals on social media, and she’s loving every bit of it.

 

A few days ago, on Kya Drama Hai, Atiqa shared that she spends most of her week watching TV dramas for the sake of writerly analysis. “I don’t want to comment on a drama without watching it,” she explained.

 

 

She then added, in a playful tone, “My husband has started getting annoyed with me. He taunts me for not giving him enough time.”

 

The remark, made in jest, took on a life of its own online.

 

Now, in this week’s episode, Atiqa revealed that netizens ran wild with her comments, and so did her inbox. “Since I said that on TV, I’ve been getting so much sympathy from people!” she shared.

 

“People have been sending me wedding messages all week. That’s why I’ve come to today’s show all dressed up,” she quipped, dressed in a striking red outfit and gharara. “Who knows when something might happen!”

 

Amid the laughter, Atiqa had a quick tip for married women: “Sometimes, it’s good to keep your husbands on their toes. A little pressure works.”

 

She added thoughtfully, “This whole episode has taught me that social media can be used in different ways. If used smartly, it’s a great tool to send a message.”

 

While her comments were clearly made in jest, both Nadia Khan and the show's host couldn’t help but laugh along and neither could the internet.
