Australian women’s captain praises six-year-old Pakistani girl’s batting skills
Australian women’s cricket team captain Alyssa Healy has joined the growing list of admirers of a six-year-old Pakistani girl whose impressive batting skills have gone viral on social media.
Speaking on a podcast, Healy showed amazement at the young girl’s talent. “She looks incredibly skilled. It’s unbelievable to see such batting ability at just six-years-old,” she said.
Jokingly, Healy added, “I feel like she was hitting the ball even better than me!”
The viral video highlights the increasing interest of young girls in sports, particularly cricket. Healy was especially impressed by the child’s technique. “Her shots were executed beautifully. Her cover drive was a treat to watch, and the pull shot she played was strikingly similar to Rohit Sharma’s pull shot,” she remarked.
“She looks like a special talent. This girl should definitely play for Pakistan,” Healy said, adding in jest, “I think she should be in the T20 World Cup squad!”
