Azma Bukhari meets Naseebo Lal, assures of support from Punjab CM

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari visited renowned Punjabi singer Naseebo Lal to inquire about her well-being following reports of her being subjected to domestic violence by her husband.

On behalf of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Azma Bukhari presented Naseebo Lal with a bouquet of flowers. Chairman of the Privileges Committee, Samiullah Khan, also accompanied her during the visit.

Azma Bukhari assured Naseebo Lal of full support from the Punjab Chief Minister. In response, Naseebo Lal expressed her gratitude, thanking both Maryam Nawaz and Azma Bukhari for their efforts.

She praised Maryam Nawaz’s commitment to artists, stating, "Maryam Nawaz is following in her father’s footsteps. Mian Nawaz Sharif always encouraged artists, and may Allah Almighty help her."

Naseebo Lal had previously filed a case against her husband for domestic violence. However, she later withdrew the case after he apologised.
