Players must complete all event-specific tasks before the deadline to earn their rewards.

Arlo Candela Pokémon Go Event Bonuses

  • 2× XP for catching Pokémon.

  • Lure Modules activated during the event will last 1 hour.

  • Lure Modules will attract Pokémon like Diglett, Slowpoke, Shellder, Dunsparce, Cutiefly, and Fomantis.

  • Catching these Pokémon will reward an extra 500 Stardust.

These bonuses will help players level up faster, catch rare Pokémon, and earn more Stardust for powering up Pokémon.

New Pokémon Release

Dhelmise, the Sea Creeper Pokémon, will be introduced in Pokémon Go for the first time.

  • Dhelmise will appear in three-star raids throughout the event.

  • Possible shiny release (not yet confirmed).

  • It is a Ghost/Grass-type Pokémon, making it a great choice for battles.

This is a huge opportunity for Pokémon collectors and trainers looking for new additions to their teams.

Wild Encounters

During the event, players will enjoy double XP for catching Pokémon, Lure Modules lasting 60 minutes, and an extra 500 Stardust per catch. Several Pokémon related to friendship and companionship, such as Nidoran♂, Nidoran♀, Slowpoke, Shellder, Dunsparce, Cutiefly, and Fomantis, will appear more frequently in the wild, with some having a chance to be shiny. Dhelmise, a Ghost/Grass-type Pokémon, will make its Pokémon Go debut in three-star raids, making this event a great opportunity for collectors.

The raid lineup includes Shellder, Dwebble, and Skrelp in one-star raids, while Slowbro, Hippowdon, and Dhelmise appear in three-star raids. Enamorus (Incarnate Forme) will be featured in five-star raids, while Mega Tyranitar will appear in Mega Raids. Additionally, special Field Research tasks will be available, rewarding players with Stardust and Tandemaus encounters. Completing the three Collection Challenges during the event will grant players 15 Great Balls and 3,000 Stardust.

One of the most exciting aspects of the event is the Timed Research challenge, where players must choose between Candela (Team Valor) or Arlo (Team Rocket). Before making a choice, players must catch 15 Pokémon, spin 5 PokéStops, and walk 2 km. If a player chooses Candela, they will focus on Buddy interactions with tasks like earning hearts with a Buddy, earning a Buddy Candy, and making new friends. The final rewards for Candela’s path include Dunsparce, Rapidash, XP, and Stardust, making it an ideal choice for PvP players and those who enjoy bonding with their Buddy Pokémon.

On the other hand, choosing Arlo means focusing on battles and Shadow Pokémon. Players will need to catch Pokémon, transfer Pokémon, and defeat Team Rocket Grunts to earn rewards like a Rocket Radar, Shadow Diglett, and Scizor. This path is better suited for PvE players who want more battle-related rewards and an easier set of solo tasks.

Overall, the "Beloved Buddies" event offers a mix of exciting bonuses, new Pokémon debuts, rewarding challenges, and exclusive research tasks. Whether players choose Candela for Buddy interactions or Arlo for Shadow Pokémon battles, this event provides a fun and rewarding experience for all Pokémon Go trainers.
