British-Pakistani racing driver and motorsport entrepreneur Enaam Ahmed has secured a place at the Ferrari Driver Academy for Daniel Miron Lorente, the young driver he has coached and managed for the past year.

Ahmed negotiated the agreement with the academy, which develops young talent with the aim of preparing drivers for the highest levels of international racing, including Formula 1.

Lorente has already enjoyed success under Ahmed’s guidance, winning this year’s Champions of the Future series, a major international karting championship that features some of the sport’s most promising young drivers.

Ahmed said his long-term goal is to help Lorente climb the motorsport ladder and eventually earn a Formula 1 seat with Ferrari.

It may be noted that Ahmed is known for flying the Pakistani flag on the international racing scene.

He became the first Pakistani to win a World Championship in karting and is also the British Formula 3 champion, winning 13 races in a single season to break a record previously held by Ayrton Senna.
