Rawalpindi police have registered a case against a man accused of raping a bus hostess at a hotel in the Pirwadhai area.
The victim, a resident of Layyah who works for various transport companies, reported the incident to the Pirwadhai police station on Monday.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the woman was returning to Rawalpindi from her hometown on Sunday night. Due to a road closure, she was forced to get off her bus at Tarnol.
The victim stated that a man offered her a lift and drove her to a hotel in Pirwadhai. After he dropped her off and left, she checked into a room to rest.
“After a while, there was a knock on the door,” the victim told the police. “When I opened it, I found the suspect standing outside. He entered the room, covered my mouth, and made me unconscious”.
The woman alleged that the suspect raped her while she was unconscious and then fled the scene. She further claimed to have found nail injuries on her body after regaining consciousness.
Pirwadhai police have initiated an investigation into the matter. No arrests have been made as yet.
