Police have registered a case against a Crime Control Department (CCD) official accused of sexually assaulting a woman twice after allegedly luring her on the pretext of tracing her missing mobile phone.
According to the FIR [First Information Report], the complainant, a resident of Kot Lakhpat, told police that she lost her mobile phone in Kahna Bazaar on October 1. She went to Kahna Police Station to report the missing phone where she met CCD official Muhammad Shabbir.
Shabbir obtained the woman’s phone number and later contacted her, claiming that he had traced her missing phone, the FIR said. He asked her to meet him on Ahlu Road and took her to a house belonging to a woman identified as Humaira Bibi.
The complainant alleged that Shabbir then threatened her with a firearm and sexually assaulted her. He also allegedly recorded a video of the assault.
The FIR stated that the official contacted the woman again and called her to the same house on October 10, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her for a second time.
The woman then approached Kahna police to register a case against the official. However, her complaint was allegedly not entertained.
She later appeared before DIG Operations Faisal Kamran during an open court and presented her complaint. The officer heard her complaint, following which, police registered a case against Shabbir at the Kahna Police Station.
Further proceedings are underway.
