Pakistani singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan has offered his services to coach the national team after Pakistan’s poor performance in the T20 World Cup.

Talking to Geo News in London, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan said, “When I was the team captain in a school in London, Aqib Javed’s father brought him to me and said that this is my son, take his trial, so I took his trial and placed him in the school team.”

Regarding former national team fast bowler Waqar Younis staying with Chahat in a London flat, Chahat said, “Waqar Younis, Aqib Javed, Mushtaq Ahmed and Saeed Anwar came to give a trial, they stayed with me.”

The singer said, “Waqar Younis stayed with me for three and a half months and then he signed a contract with Surrey County, after which he moved to his flat.”

“All the players are our brothers and have been practicing with us. I met Mushtaq Ahmed during the recent tour of Pakistan but there has been no contact with Waqar Younis as his life has become very busy.”

In response to a question about the coaching of the Pakistani team, he said, “I have been hearing for a long time that the Pakistani team has two coaches, four coaches, five coaches but only one coach is good. I know how to work with players. I will be one coach. I don’t need a bowling coach, batting coach and fielding coach. I am here for the team, you will have to pay only one coach.”

The Pakistan cricket team is currently playing the T20 World Cup and will play their last match of the event today against Ireland. Pakistan is out of the ongoing event after two embarrassing defeats against USA and India.
