An under-construction roof collapsed in Lahore’s Baghbanpura neighborhood on Thursday, leaving one child dead and four other individuals injured.
According to an official statement issued by Rescue 1122, the incident occurred on the third floor of the structure. The emergency service confirmed that one person remains trapped beneath the debris.
Rescue officials stated that the deceased child was between eight and ten years old. A team comprising 25 personnel and seven rescue arrived at the site.
First aid was administered to the four injured individuals at the scene before emergency teams transported them to Services Hospital for medical treatment.
The incident occurred twi days after a roof collapse at a tuition center located in Lahore’s Kahna, which resulted in the deaths of 14 children.
On Wednesday, hundreds of citizens attended the funeral prayers of the children at a mosque, before their burial at a local graveyard.
