Mountaineer Samar Khan is on the verge of another incredible milestone — scaling Mt. Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America.
However, despite securing a fully funded scholarship from Summit Scholarship Foundation for the expedition, she faces a major roadblock: a $4000 round-trip air ticket.
Samar, who is known for her groundbreaking achievements, including being the first Pakistani woman to summit a 7000-meter peak on a bicycle, took to social media to highlight her predicament. She wrote on Instagram that while her scholarship covers most of the expedition expenses, the cost of airfare remains out of reach, putting her participation at risk.
“I need to fly on 25th December to join the group, but I can’t afford the $4000 ticket. If anyone can help sponsor my round-trip for promotions, it would mean the world to me,” Samar wrote in her heartfelt appeal.
Mt. Aconcagua, standing at 6,962 meters, is a formidable challenge for any climber. Scaling the peak would not only be a personal achievement for Samar but also a proud moment for Pakistan. However, without timely support, her dream might remain unrealized.
