Indian actor Parth Samthaan has responded warmly to the ongoing comparisons between his drama "Seher Hone Ko Hai" and the smash Pakistani hit "Meri Zindagi Hai Tu", saying that he has personally watched the show.
Speaking to Indian media, Samthaan said, "Let's be honest, a lot of Indian audience also watches their (Pakistani) shows and they have been loved throughout. I personally also watch a lot of shows, and I have seen this 'Meri Zindagi Hai Tu' and it is very commendable that we are being compared to them. Whatever it is, it is the love of the fans."
On the fan debates comparing him to Bilal Abbas Khan, Samthaan kept it grounded.
"Whatever it is, but overall, what really matters is that you have so many people who love and support you. There are many people who work hard, but not everyone gets the same results. In the end, it's also about luck and blessings. If you have Allah's favor, then you are destined to receive love from the audience as well."
The comparisons have sparked lively reactions online, with fans divided between the two actors. Comments ranged from "Bilal Abbas Khan is the best," "Bilal is unmatched" and "Kamyar hits different" to "Very good actor both" and "Parth buhat acha actor hai."
Seher Hone Ko Hai, which airs on Colors TV, stars Parth Samthaan as Mahid Niyazi alongside Rishita Kothari as Seher Niyazi.
Set in Lucknow, the show follows Seher Baig, a 16-year-old girl with dreams of becoming a doctor, whose mother Kausar fights to protect her from the rigid traditions and pressures that once trapped her own life. When Seher's father Parvez threatens to harm Kausar unless Seher agrees to marry into an influential family, she is forced into a marriage with Mahid Niyazi, a deeply conflicted young man torn between family expectations and his own sense of justice.
The drama is a loose adaptation of the Turkish series Kizil Goncalar and is produced by Richa Yamini under Icecream Dreams and Aarambh Entertainment.
On the other hand, Meri Zindagi Hai Tu, which aired on ARY Digital from November 2025 to March 2026, starred Bilal Abbas Khan as Kamyar and Hania Aamir as Ayra. The story follows Kamyar, a charming but emotionally guarded man whose life has been shaped by betrayal, and Ayra, a principled and compassionate woman. As their relationship deepens, buried secrets and outside interference put everything they have built at risk.
Written by Radain Shah and directed by Musaddiq Malik, the drama was produced by Six Sigma Plus.
