A video trend that started at a brick kiln in rural Pakistan has made its way across the globe, with users in the United States (US) among other countries recreating it.
The original clips, which began circulating from Pakistan, showed boys using a diesel engine to spin a tyre at high speed before releasing it, sending it flying into the air with the help of makeshift ramps.
What started as footage from a local brick kiln quickly picked up views and shares across TikTok and Instagram, eventually catching the attention of international audiences.

American influencer Frankie LaPenna, who has over three million followers on Instagram, became one of the most prominent names to jump on the trend after he recreated the video himself.
“The Pakistani air defence system is actually quite effective,” he captioned his reel that drew over 13 million views in a single day.
The same also drew thousands of reactions with one user saying, “This is not air defence system but I am happy to see the Americans follow Pakistan."
Another suggested, “Olympics 2028 lesgggggoooooo.”
Others chimed in with "most trending Pakistani villager's act", "that's enough for Indian Rafaels” and “Pakistan has created a new sport”.
Beyond LaPenna, a large number of other users across the US have since posted their own versions of the video, turning what was an unplanned moment from a Pakistani village into one of the most unexpected viral formats of recent days.
