AFC’s spokesperson told the press that the game between Esteghlal and Al Nasar had been planned for Dubai. He insists that this is due to the insecurity situation in Iran. Regarding Al Nasr, Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of the Portuguese national team, recently accompanied the club to Dubai. He was with the players before the game with Iranian club Esteghlal, hoping for victory.

Al Nassr will play their third game of the AFC Champions League Elite Series match against Esteghlal FC Tehran at Rashid Stadium in Dubai on Tuesday. For the third time, Al Nassr will face Iranian mammoth Esteghlal FC Tehran in the knockout phase of the AFC Champions League under the captaincy of Ronaldo.

Al Nasar’s Last Match: Cristiano Ronaldo Got Emotional

The previous Saudi Pro League match saw Al Nassr defeat Al Shabab 2-1. Ronaldo’s golden goal in the 97th minute secured his team’s sixth consecutive victory. After some missed opportunities and arriving at the late stages of the tournament, Ronaldo scored in the Asian Champions League 2024/25 season. Later, Ronaldo explained that he was emotional after celebrating a goal because it was his late father’s birthday.

“That match was difficult, and I think we knew that; we were prepared, and it was good after all to get the win. Right now, it is not that important for me to be the best player in the world or win trophies; what matters to me now is to have fun and be useful to the team and the country,” Ronaldo told the AFC website.

He also said, “Living under pressure is just a normal life for me, and this kind of life has been there since the first day I had the Manchester United jersey. Moreover, I know that pressure will be with me until the last day of my life.”
