Fans could return to stadiums for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) playoffs and final, with league officials reportedly in active discussions over allowing spectators back in.
PSL 11 matches in Karachi and Lahore have so far been held behind closed doors due to government restrictions on movement linked to the fuel crisis.
While the group stage has continued without crowds, media reports suggest authorities could be allowing fans in for the playoffs and the final.
Earlier, franchise owners also jointly urged Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on social media to lift the ban on spectators for the remainder of the season.
PSL 11 is running from March 26 to May 3, and for the first time, features eight teams competing for the title.
