Actor and social media star Dananeer Mobeen has made her singing debut with “Touch”, an upbeat dance track featuring musician Haider Mustehsan aka Hydra.
Mobeen announced the release on Instagram in a collaborative post with Mustehsan, sharing a snippet from the song produced by Will Baker.
“TOUCH – OUT NOW ON ALL PLATFORMS,” the duo wrote.
Mobeen also said that she and Baker put considerable thought into the track and added, “I hope you guys feel this in your feet.”
The song mixes English and Urdu lyrics and is Mobeen’s first formal step into music.
In the video, Mobeen and Mustehsan dance beside a piano, spend time around a house and pool, and drive a convertible past scenic views. Mobeen wears a long-sleeved black top, jeans and a bandanna tied in her hair.
Mustehsan also teased the collaboration with a series of artistic videos in the days leading to the release.
Fans left comments celebrating the debut, and fellow artists joined them. Singer Shae Gill wrote, “You’re so beautiful,” and Mamya Shajaffer wrote, “So cute.”
Mobeen rose to fame online in 2021 before moving into acting. Her credits include Sinf-e-Aahan and Meem Se Mohabbat. She has also appeared in the sports film Mera Lyari, which starred Ayesha Omar and Trinette Lucas, and explores Lyari’s football culture and the experiences of women in sports.
She is set to appear in the Hum TV drama Hurmat opposite Shahveer Jafry.
