An intoxicated man and his companions allegedly assaulted employees at a petrol pump on Lahore’s Airport Road after staff stopped him from using an underground fuel storage tank as a toilet.

CCTV footage showed the man being stopped from using the storage as toilet and later resorting to physically violence against the workers.

The confrontation escalated rapidly when one of his companions retrieved a rifle from their vehicle, loaded it, and threatened to kill an employee. The petrol pump’s security guard also attempted to intervene during the altercation, but the suspects threatened him with dire consequences as well.

Following the assault, the petrol pump administration submitted a formal application at the local police station, seeking legal action against the group for assault, gang violence and death threats.

Upon receiving the application, police officially launched an investigation.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore Faisal Kamran took notice of the incident and sought a formal report on the matter.

South Cantt Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Adnan Rashid stated that police were actively tracing the suspects using the CCTV footage and promised they would be taken into custody soon.
