Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Sohail Afridi’s visit to a Workers’ Convention in Peshawar has led to the dismissal of an electrician after the provincial chief executive was left sweating due to a faulty air conditioning system, media reports said.
According to reports, CM Afridi was spotted sweating profusely due to malfunctioning air conditioners during the convention at Nishtar Hall on Sunday, prompting strong action against the electrician responsible for the equipment at the venue.
While a formal notification was issued for the electrician’s dismissal, reports said, the director of culture was also transferred and the caretaker of Nishtar Hall suspended.
KP government officials are yet to react to the reports.
