The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly planning to host two T20I matches of the upcoming Pakistan-Bangladesh series in Faisalabad.

According to reports, the Bangladesh cricket team is scheduled to tour Pakistan in the third week of next month for a five-match T20I series.

The series is set to take place on May 25, 27, and 30 and June 1 and 3. Reports suggest that the first two matches could be played at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad, marking the return of international cricket to the city after more than 16 years. The last international game hosted at this venue was on 11 April 2008, when Pakistan played an ODI against Bangladesh.

The remaining three matches are expected to be held in Lahore.

Initially, the series was planned to include three ODIs and three T20Is. However, after discussions between the PCB and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), the format was revised to five T20Is as part of preparations for the 2025 Asia Cup and the 2026 T20 World Cup.

Historically, Pakistan and Bangladesh have faced each other 19 times in T20Is, with Pakistan winning 16 matches and Bangladesh securing victory on three occasions.

If the plan is finalised, Faisalabad will once again witness international cricket, adding excitement for local fans ahead of a highly anticipated series.
