Famous TikToker arrested in Karachi for supplying drugs

Karachi police have arrested social media influencer and former model Babra, also known as Bebo Baloch, on charges of supplying narcotics, including crystal meth (ice) and cocaine.

The arrest was made during an intelligence-based operation conducted by Darakhshan Police near 26th Street, Khayaban-e-Badar, in Defence Phase 5.

According to reports, Babra was found in possession of ice, a highly addictive drug. She was already on the radar of law enforcement agencies and is listed in the Special Branch’s B-Category surveillance list. Police confirmed that she had previously been arrested twice in separate theft cases by Darakhshan and Sahil police stations.

During initial interrogation, Babra reportedly admitted to using social media platforms to distribute drugs. Her primary clientele included affluent youth in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) and other upscale neighborhoods of Karachi.

She shared that her journey began in 2007 when she entered the modeling industry. After family problems and her mother’s remarriage in 2017, she moved to a flat in the Khayaban-e-Muslim Commercial area, where she began posting content online and gained popularity as a TikToker.

Babra further disclosed that frequent attendance at high-profile parties introduced her to drugs, eventually leading to her addiction to ice and cocaine. Over time, she became involved in the drug supply business herself.

Police officials added that Babra named several accomplices during questioning. A manhunt is currently underway to apprehend others connected to the drug network. Authorities believe the group operated a structured narcotics supply chain using social media as a key tool for communication and delivery.

A case has been registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are ongoing. Police expect further arrests as the probe expands.

While her official social media accounts have not yet been confirmed by police, a TikTok account believed to be hers has over 100,000 followers and features videos that appear to match her identity. A related Instagram account has around 20,000 followers.
