Pakistani singer and actor Farhan Saeed criticised men’s behaviour during a recent television appearance, saying that women must prioritise themselves in relationships.
Saeed appeared on the show alongside actress Mamya Shajaffar to promote an upcoming film. When Shajaffar said that most men deceive women with false promises, Saeed went a step further. “Not just some, almost all men are fraud,” he said.
He urged women to love themselves above all else and protect their self-worth while being in a relationship. He said that women should never fully sacrifice themselves for a partner and should stop giving men repeated chances.
Saeed also spoke about a pattern he said is far too common. “Most women think they can change a man through love, but in reality, that rarely happens,” he said, adding that women end up paying the heaviest price when they take on that role. He advised women to walk away from that mindset entirely.
He did acknowledge that men can also be hurt by certain women, but maintained that in most cases it is women who bear the real cost of men’s behaviour.
Farhan began his career as the lead vocalist of Pakistani pop rock band Jal before leaving in 2011 to pursue a solo career.
He made his acting debut in 2014 with the Hum TV drama “De Ijazat Jo Tu” and went on to earn widespread recognition through “Suno Chanda” (2018), “Suno Chanda 2” (2019), and “Mere Humsafar” (2021–22). He made his film debut with “Tich Button” in 2022.
