Pakistan authorities have issued an urgent nationwide flash flood warning as unrelenting monsoon downpours claimed six lives across several regions. The disaster management apparatus remains on high alert through July 24.

The Flood Forecasting Division (FFD) has warned on Tuesday that widespread monsoon activity interacting with a strong westerly weather system will significantly increase flows in major water bodies.
