Former Indian cricketer and coach Sanjay Bangar's son has changed his gender.

 

Reports in Indian media state that the 23-year-old son of former Indian all-rounder Sanjay Bangar, previously named Aryan, has now became Anaya after undergoing gender reassignment surgery. 

 

She shared her gender journey through hormonal transformation on social media a few months ago, getting a lot of attention.

 

Aryan, who was born a boy, started hormone replacement therapy (HRT) in 2023 and now has a new identity as a transgender girl. 

 

Anaya is currently playing cricket in the UK. She shared the story of her complicated and emotional journey on social media, writing in an Instagram post that after 11 months of hormone replacement therapy, she was able to achieve complete happiness.

 

Sanjay Bangar played 12 Tests and 15 ODI matches for India. He also performed coaching duties.
