Four children including three girls and one boy died of suffocation after getting trapped inside a parked car in Mianwali, police said.
The incident took place on Sunday evening in the Khaglanwala area. Police said that the children were playing nearby when they entered an unattended vehicle parked in the locality. The car door reportedly locked once they were inside, leaving them unable to get out.
Investigators believe that the children suffocated after being trapped inside the closed vehicle for an extended period.
The bodies were later recovered and handed over to the families. Police said that the circumstances surrounding the incident are being examined while an investigation is underway to determine all aspects of the case.
