Four members of a family were shot dead over a property dispute in the Domel area of Bannu district, it emerged Tuesday.
According to local police and rescue sources, the fatal shooting occurred in the Odeen Kallay locality near the Kashu Bridge in the Domel Nallah area on Saturday night.
The deceased were identified as a man, namely Umar Nawaz, his two sons and a nephew. All bodies were recovered by emergency personnel shortly after the receipt of information.
The bodies were initially transported to the Domel Rural Health Centre before being shifted to the Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
The Domel police have registered a criminal case and formally launched an investigation into the deadly dispute. This came after an FIR [First Information Report] was lodged on the complaint of Fareedullah, the father of deceased Umair.
Two persons nominated in the case, Hukam Daraz and his son Mohammad Hamood, remain the primary focus of the ongoing police probe.
