Sajal Aly’s performance in the latest episode of Zanjeerain has sent viewers into a frenzy, with fans taking to X to react to what many are calling one of her finest performances on screen.
The episode featured a scene where Aly’s character Rabiya breaks down at a grave after a shattering realisation, a sequence that drew particular praise for both its direction and its emotional weight.
Danyal Zafar, who plays Sar Buland Hayat Khan, also drew appreciation from viewers.
“Sajal Aly is truly an academy of acting. The way she asked through her eyes is it real? The way she conveyed shock, grief and heartbreak,” one user wrote.
Another noted that “The way she’s crying here is so different from her previous characters, the way sajal is always able to make her characters cry differently it’s insane.”
The direction by Shahzad Kashmiri also earned kudos. “The entire sequence was masterfully directed by Shahzad Kashmiri. On one side Biya walks through the graveyard on the other Tursam walks away. The raw pain in Sajal Ali’s performance is enough to shatter your heart,” a viewer posted, adding that Danyal Zafar “was equally brilliant bringing depth and sincerity to every moment”.
Several viewers noted Aly’s ability to bring something new to every emotional scene. “Sajal aly’s emotional range will be talked about till the end of time,” one user remarked, while another called her “a generational talent”.
