A Masters student has confessed to shooting and killing a young man in Haroonabad, a city in Bahawalnagar district, police said, in a case that has taken a sensational turn with new revelations emerging from the investigation.
According to police, Ariba, admitted to firing on Talha Naim and killing him.
In her statement, she said that the boy had been blackmailing her, and she took the step out of desperation.
Police recovered the weapon used in the killing during the operation.
After completing legal proceedings, Ariba was sent to Bahawalnagar jail on judicial remand.
The family of the victim has demanded justice.
