Govinda’s divorce; nephew Krishna reacts to speculation

Bollywood superstar Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja have been at the center of intense speculation after reports claimed they were heading for divorce, ending their 37-year-old marriage.

Indian media reports suggested that Sunita allegedly sent a separation notice to Govinda months ago, but he did not respond. The rumors gained traction after claims that Govinda was in a relationship with a 30-year-old Marathi actress—a claim that remains unverified.

When contacted by the media, Govinda dismissed the rumors, stating, “There are only business discussions with my wife, while my focus is on making films.” His wife, Sunita, has not commented on the matter.

Govinda’s nephew, Krishna, denied the reports, insisting that “There will be no divorce.” Meanwhile, Govinda’s manager admitted that there had been some family tensions due to certain statements but stressed that the issue was being addressed.

Govinda and Sunita tied the knot in 1987, during the early days of his Bollywood career. Fans are now eagerly waiting for an official statement from the couple.
