Actor Hania Aamir and filmmaker Saman Kamraan have been named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list for 2026, securing positions under the entertainment category in the 11th edition of the annual roster that highlights 30 young individuals across the region.

Aamir, with her 10-year acting career, currently stands as the most followed Pakistani woman on Instagram with 20 million followers. Her television portfolio includes projects such as Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum and Meri Zindagi Hai Tu.

She is scheduled to appear in the upcoming series Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, which marks Pakistan’s first Netflix Original production.

Beyond her media projects, Aamir was appointed as the UN Women’s National Goodwill Ambassador in October last year.

Kamraan, on the other hand, entered the list owing to her work as a filmmaker focusing on societal themes. Her short film, The Bed She Made, was the sole Pakistani entry at the Busan International Short Film Festival this year. The project explores the connection between climate change and fertility within Pakistan.

Festival programmer Professor Sébastien Simon documented the project in the official catalogue, stating that the film “alternates between choreographic sequences and stark depictions of domestic oppression” and “confronts the systemic silencing and abusive treatment of women in rigid patriarchal societies”.

Prior to this project, Kamraan served as an assistant director for the sci-fi feature film Umro Ayyar.

The inclusion of Aamir and Kamraan follows a year where Pakistani artists were absent from the 2025 list, which featured only javelin athlete Arshad Nadeem.

Prior to this, filmmaker Bushra Sultan was featured in 2024. Other Pakistanis from previous editions include Rastah founder Zain Ahmed in 2022, music producer Abdullah Siddiqui and artist Misha Japanwala in 2021, and singer Momina Mustehsan in 2018.
