Actor Hania Aamir has entered the music scene with her first song ‘Pablo’, a Punjabi hip-hop track in which she addresses her critics and their opinions about her.

Written and composed by Aamir herself, the song begins with a piano tune before shifting into a Punjabi rap style. Aamir uses the track to respond to people who call her “fake” because of her appearance and those who describe her as guarded.

Addressing her critics, she sings, “Assi hassde te tussi pichhe sarhde-sarhde. Assi chill ay te roz panga lai re ne,” which translates to, “We’re laughing and you’re back there fuming. We’re chilling and you’re trying to pick a fight.”

Aamir also sings about having fans who follow her wherever she goes, adding that her “Pindi attitude is watched by all of India”.

The actor then turns to the attention around her personal life and the criticism directed at her. She sings about having mansions that she keeps empty, while her friends keep her company and her activities keep her occupied.

She also contrasts her approach with that of the people she describes as her haters. While they are busy planning their next move, Aamir says she is simply “vibing to the beat, doing my groove”.

Aamir further sings about staying in the news despite not giving interviews, using the song to underline her response to the attention she receives. Her message to her critics becomes more direct as she tells them, “Son, sit down, breathe a little. We’re all people here, everyone’s gonna answer for what they do. Learn to live within your means.”

The song ends with a guest appearance from Indian reality TV star Rakhi Sawant, who addresses Aamir directly.

“Hania, my jaan, don’t get tense. Understand? Don’t take any tension. You’re a hoor, there’s divine light on your face. They’re jealous of your beauty,” Sawant says in the outro.

Sawant then calls Aamir a lioness and encourages her to face her opponents without fear. She tells the actor, “Jo darr gaya, samjho marr gaa [The one who gets scared is as good as dead.]”
