Singer Hasan Raheem has submitted his single ‘Bewajah’ for consideration for the Grammy Awards in Best Music Video and Best Global Music Performance.
The singer announced the submission on his Instagram with a post titled “BEWAJAH | FOR YOUR GRAMMY® CONSIDERATION,” which lists both categories.
Raheem released ‘Bewajah’ in March 2026. Producer Umair worked with him on the track. Raheem wrote the lyrics in Urdu and added a bridge in Shina, a language spoken in his home region of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Arham Ikram, who has worked with Raheem before, directed the music video. Filmmakers shot it in Gilgit around a polo match, a popular sport in Gilgit-Baltistan. Raheem appears in white against the dark clothing of the players, horses and spectators. Snow-capped mountains fill the background, while the video also features traditional clothing and Gilgiti dance.
Raheem gained national attention in 2020 with the R&B single ‘Aisay Kaisay’. He followed it in 2021 with the pop track ‘Joona’, and the same year won Breakthrough Artist at the Pakistan International Screen Awards.
In 2022, Raheem appeared on Coke Studio Pakistan’s 14th season with ‘Peechay Hutt’, which also appeared in the series Ms. Marvel. He released his debut album, Nautanki, that year. Spotify also named him the first featured artist of its RADAR program in Pakistan.
His 2023 EP, Maybe, It’s Love, included guest spots from Talha Anjum and Talhah Yunus. That year he also released ‘Wishes’, a duet with Punjabi singer Talwiinder, which brought him international success.
Other key releases include ‘Aarzu’ and ‘Faltu Pyar’, a duet with singer Natasha Noorani.
