Actor Hassan Ahmed has publicly criticised Fahad Sheikh over a viral video involving veteran actor Syed Mohammad Ahmed, accusing him of repeatedly disrespecting others and calling for those seen in the footage to face consequences.
In a strongly worded Instagram story, Hassan said his opinion was based on years of knowing and working with Fahad Sheikh. He alleged that Fahad had often mocked people and treated others disrespectfully in an effort to appear “cool”.
“After working with Fahad and knowing him for years,” Hassan wrote, he had witnessed behaviour that he described as belittling towards other people. He added that Fahad and the others appearing in the widely circulated video “should be cancelled”.
Hassan’s remarks come as the controversy surrounding the clip continues to attract criticism on social media. The video, which emerged after Syed Mohammad Ahmed spoke publicly about feeling humiliated by a younger co-star during a project, appears to show Fahad holding a small hand fan over the veteran actor’s head while passing remarks as people around them laugh.
The footage prompted widespread online criticism, with many viewers saying Syed Mohammad Ahmed appeared visibly uncomfortable.
The controversy has fuelled calls from social media users for greater accountability over the treatment of the veteran actor, while several figures from Pakistan’s entertainment industry have also weighed in on the incident.
Fahad Sheikh has rejected allegations that he bullied Syed Mohammad Ahmed, saying that the viral video circulating on social media was taken out of context and did not reflect the reality of their relationship. In a public statement, he said he had always respected senior artists and would never intentionally undermine their dignity.
Fahad said he and Syed Mohammad Ahmed had worked together on multiple projects and shared a friendly rapport. He added that he had apologised privately to the veteran actor before the controversy became public and reiterated that apology publicly, saying he would never intentionally insult a senior colleague. Fahad also confirmed that legal action was being initiated against those he accused of circulating misleading clips and presenting a distorted version of events.
