Pakistani actress Mahira Khan met King Charles at the British Asian Trust’s annual dinner in London on Tuesday, describing the monarch as warm and well-informed about her charitable work.
The British Asian Trust, founded by King Charles in 2007 when he was Prince of Wales, works to address poverty, inequality, and social challenges across Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
Speaking to a journalist after the event, Mahira said that the King personally acknowledged her contributions to the organisation.
“He was very charming and interested in how the work is going,” she said. “It was very nice, he knew what I did for the Trust.”
Mahira arrived at the dinner in a gold-toned Faraz Manan ensemble featuring intricate geometric embroidery, a flowing pleated silhouette, and a sheer matching dupatta.
She kept her styling understated, opting for soft waves, minimal accessories, and light makeup that let the outfit speak for itself.
