Pakistani actress Hina Altaf has taken a sarcastic dig at the restrictions women face in Pakistan, in a vlog she recorded in London before a flight back to Karachi.
A video shows Hina walking along a London street in glasses and winter earmuffs, talking about the return flight and saying she wanted one last walk before she left.
“My flight is today. Back to Karachi. So I thought, let me take one last walk before I get imprisoned in my own city’s jail, because there, girls can’t even live properly,” Hina said.
“They can’t even walk on the streets, because apparently, just being a girl is a crime in our country,” she said.
Hina described the outing as her “last hours of freedom” and signed off with a message for the city. “London, you’ve been good to me. See you soon. Bye-bye,” she said.
Hina began her career as a VJ before moving onto television drama. She first drew attention as Misaal in Hum TV’s “Aik Thi Misaal”, which aired from 2015 to 2016.
She then starred in “Dil-e-Jaanam” in 2017 and played Asma in “Aatish”, which ran on Hum TV from 2018 to 2019. Her later work includes “Rabba Mainu Maaf Kareen” on Hum TV in 2020, “Kasa-e-Dil”, “Mehroom” in 2024, and “Naqsh” and “Kaarzar-e-Dua” in 2025.
