Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and fellow Indian rapper Badshah’s long-running feud is back in the spotlight after Badshah’s appearance on comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent.
Badshah appeared in the second bonus episode of India’s Got Latent Season 2, released for YouTube channel members on August 10.
He featured alongside Indian host-writer Haarsh Limbachiyaa, social media influencer Sourav Joshi, and comedian Rajat Sood. During the episode, Samay Raina asked Badshah how he came up with his stage name. Badshah said that he had coined the name himself.
The answer soon became a talking point online after viewers connected it to an older video in which Badshah had reportedly said that Honey Singh was the one who gave him the name “Badshah.” As the clip began circulating, Honey Singh shared it on his Instagram Story with a sarcastic caption calling Badshah “Meri nalayak aulaad.”
Honey Singh and Badshah were once part of the hip-hop collective Mafia Mundeer. Their professional relationship ended some years later, and the two rappers have since clashed repeatedly over music credits and contributions to shared songs.
One of the most discussed disputes involves the track “Brown Rang.” Badshah has claimed he wrote the lyrics while Honey Singh composed the music.
The disagreement resurfaced in July 2025, when Badshah commented “Credits” on a social media post associated with Honey Singh.
