Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir has stated that propaganda, fake news, and externally-sponsored terrorism will not stop Pakistan from progressing.
While speaking with officers and troops stationed in Balochistan, the head of the army said, “Pakistan’s destined rise cannot be obstructed through propaganda, fake news or externally sponsored terrorism”.
He added that hostile forces attempting to disrupt Pakistan through proxies and propaganda will fail, stating, “hostile forces attempting to derail Pakistan’s progress through proxies and propaganda will ultimately fail due to the resilience of the state and the unity of its people,” Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed.
During his address, the military chief stated that the armed forces, backed by the public, “remain fully committed to the eradication of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations”.
He added that stability in Balochistan requires a people-centric approach, inclusive development, and better governance alongside security operations. He acknowledged the Balochistan government for focusing on public welfare and socio-economic development.
He also commended the operational readiness and morale of the troops in the province. Upon arriving in Quetta, the army chief was received by the Quetta Corps commander.
Field Marshal Munir also spoke to faculty and student officers at the Command and Staff College in Quetta, where he recognized the institution’s training standards.
He stated that modern warfare is transforming, instructing the officers to “continuously train themselves and their troops to effectively respond to the changing character of war while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, preparedness and operational excellence”.
At a ceremony for Marka-i-Haq earlier this month, the military chief noted that future conflicts will “comprise multi-domain operations, in which modern technology, including cyber and electronic warfare, drones, long-range vectors, and artificial intelligence would play a crucial role”.
