Fast bowler Muhammad Amir has said that he has no personal enmity with batting maestro Babar Azam, stating that, “We have played cricket together and have a good relationship.”

Talking to the media, Muhammad Amir said “I say what is best for Pakistan. The runs scored by Babar Azam in the last innings were excellent, he should play the way he played the last two overs. If Babar plays such innings for Pakistan, it will be beneficial.”

Criticising Pakistan’s management for not planning long-term, Amir said, “They think of their own series, there should make a rotation policy and the workload of the batters and bowlers should be managed better.” The fast bowler said that it is often seen that players get unfit before the World Cup because coaches don’t do long-term planning.

He said that Pakistan Cricket Board has to invest in four-day red ball cricket while the youth should be given good contracts in red ball cricket.

Amir is currently playing for Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL). Amir criticised Babar Azam many time on his batting approach.
