Renowned actress Mahira Khan got emotional while discussing her second marriage during a special interview with the BBC.
Mahira was asked about the cultural challenges faced by women with children who wish to remarry in today's Asia. She shared a touching moment from her wedding, saying, "I am proud of my son. I wanted him to be with me at the time of entry into the wedding ceremony, so he fulfilled my wish."
Reflecting on her life, she added, "I feel that every time I did good things in life, treated people well, and took care of those around me, Allah rewarded me for it."
She also spoke about her faith, stating, "On the occasion of my second marriage, I felt that whatever happens in a person's life happens by the will of Allah, and whatever is the will of Allah, there is definitely good for the person."
She concluded by expressing her gratitude and pride, "My second marriage was exactly such a moment for me. I was constantly saying Alhamdulillah during the wedding ceremony, and I was feeling very proud of my son."
